U.S., citing new hope for Somalia, to reopen embassy

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States, seeing new hope for Somalia, will reopen its diplomatic mission in Mogadishu which it closed 23 years ago as the East African country descended into chaos, a senior U.S. government official said on Tuesday.
